Celebration Awards are given each year to events for outstanding
accomplishments in a variety of areas. Over 200 members belong to the
organization including cities, chambers and fairs. Collectively the
organization represents more than 5,000 events in California and Nevada. The
Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival competes against events like the Miramar
Air Show, Fairplex and the Gilroy Garlic Festival.
The Festival's Website www.tvbwf.com., was created by Conveyor Group,
out of El Centro, Ca. Conveyor Group also creates the Festival's annual program
and has won numerous Webby awards.
The Festival’s marketing campaign, press kit, and promotional poster
were created by Melody’s Ad Works, Inc., the public relations agency hired for
the Festival. The marketing campaign
included broadcast, print, internet and social media, in an integrated campaign
that generated interactivity with Festival fans, sponsors and media, and
resulted in an increase of online ticket sales and an overall increase in
attendance. In October the Festival's press kit earned a Gold Pinnacle Award
from the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) and the
marketing campaign earned a Silver against other world events.
The television commercial was produced by
Endeavor Production Group of Murrieta and the commemorative poster was created
by Heather Pilapil, a local artist who won the 2012 Poster Contest with her design.
The Best New Idea award was given to the Festival for their winebarrel races held for the first time last year at the Promenade in Temecula.
The event also won a Silver Pinnacle Award last October (IFEA). A second place
finish on the international scene, the Festival was in good company with,
Showtime Events, from New Delhi, India taking the gold and World Gourmet
Summit, Singapore taking the bronze. IFEA's professional competition draws
entries from organizations as diverse as the Cherry Creek Arts Festival,
Denver, CO; Borderfest Association,
Irish Festival in Dublin, Ireland, Geumsan Insam Festival of South Korea, Kentucky Derby Festival, Louisville, KY; the
Ludwig Van Beethoven Easter Festival in Krakow, Poland, and the International
